On Friday, March 22, middle schoolers had the opportunity to go on an extravagant egg hunt in Issaquah Highlands. More than 90 students searched for over 1,200 eggs (and 12 golden eggs) hidden by Highlands Youth Advisory Board members around Village Green Park!
The eggs contained candy as well as prize redemption slips, which could be redeem for fun items such as fidget toys, mini stuffed animals, mini disco balls, and more! Those who found golden eggs received gift cards to local shops in Grand Ridge Plaza like Starbucks and Ben & Jerry’s!
While our first group was hunting for eggs, the second group had the chance to play a variety of games like egg bowling, a memory game, a counting game with jellybeans, a bunny scavenger hunt, and a here-to-there chopstick jellybean competition.
Our craft station provided a space for students to express their creativity in bag and egg decorating!
Additionally, there was an exciting carrot cake eating contest in which 12 participants competed to see who could eat a large cake the fastest. Snacks were provided, and the Issaquah Ice Cream Trike offered cold treats as well.
Following both egg hunts, several groups of kids belted out songs during a fun karaoke session to close out the night.
