INTERSECTIONS: Natural, Intuitive, Intentional. Nature is the point of departure and the destination for the artists in “Intersections”.  The artists will talk about their process of using the ancient technique of encaustic painting. Luminous layering of beeswax, damar resin and pigments are built up during the sequence of a heat fusing applications, to produce rich surfaces of smooth and textured finishes.

The artists will also talk about the inspiration for their pieces, and how various influences have shaped the direction of their work and their unique approach to handling the medium of encaustic. Questions will be welcomed.
