Whether you genuinely believe in luck or not, I generally find that people either have an object or a symbol they think brings them good luck. Just like the community members who shared their lucky symbols with me (see the infographic below), I have one of my own; in my family, our good luck symbol is the number 13. Even though this number is often associated with bad luck, we do not interpret it that way. My grandma was born, married, and died on Friday the 13th, so my mom and I find it particularly special, positive, and lucky.
