Please enjoy this poem about Issaquah Highlands, written by Park Drive resident Shaurya Behera:
Atop the hills and hit by the breeze
You’ll find a nice village surrounded by trees.
The views in the park offer great inspiration
The community is filled with much imagination.
The gardens are maintained and are plenty green
The surrounding water has a soft sheen.
The streets are safe.
The air is clean.
Nearly everywhere you look
Peace can be seen.
Yet as the sun begins its descent
The sounds of the people go silent.
In their place, the creatures make sound
The croaking frogs can be heard from all around.
For twenty-six years the community stands
And for many more it will in the Issaquah Highlands.
