A special thanks to outgoing At-Large district representative Bertan Aygun for serving on the board for the past year. Thank you to Raj Thiagarajan of District 5 for running for the IHCA Board of Directors this year. Next year’s election will be for representatives of districts 2, 4, and 6. More information will be provided next spring.
Included in the 2021 election was IRS Revenue Ruling 70-604, which is a tax-planning tool that permits the homeowner’s association to carry over excess operating income, if any, to the following year. Homeowners across each district voted with an overwhelming majority to approve IRS Revenue Ruling 70-604, with 727 votes to approve and 51 votes to deny. We received a record number of votes and are very excited to welcome the newly elected individuals to the IHCA Board of Directors, joining the existing members of districts 2, 4, and 6. Thank you to all our board members for volunteering their time to serve this community.
