Energizing the Future: PSE Project Impacts Traffic in July, August

By July 8, 2024General

ISSAQUAH, Wash. – Issaquah Highlands residents should prepare for some travel adjustments over the next several weeks. Puget Sound Energy (PSE) is conducting a project, which starts July 15 and runs through late August.

The project isn’t one where you will see a lot of construction work. Crews are surveying existing underground electric equipment. Surveying and testing the existing electric infrastructure enables PSE to inform a study for future improvement projects.

Crews will work at Northeast Park Drive, Highlands Drive Northeast, Old Black Nugget Road, 15th Avenue Northeast and 10th Avenue Northeast throughout the project.

Nearby residents can expect some noise from equipment, traffic control flaggers and crews in the area. Drivers should expect single lane closures and traffic control flaggers near crews. If necessary, it’s advised for those in the area to consider alternative routes.

“We’re proud to serve in your community and aim to complete this work with as little disruption as possible,” said Bob Parker, senior project manager. “If you have any questions regarding PSE’s work, you can contact PSE here.”

PSE is aware that any work in the area can prove disruptive to residents. PSE crews are working as quickly (and safely) as possible to ensure the least amount of disruptions. There are no planned outages with this project.
