The Highlands Youth (HY) Advisory Board splits its monthly meetings into two parts! The first part is intended for HY Board members to plan events, whereas the second part is open for all teens in the community (grades 7-12). Each month, the hour-long Teen Workshops will allow youth to connect and learn topics that aren’t always taught in school.
Research shows that we can significantly improve our happiness by knowing and focusing on our top strengths. Teens will use the Values in Action (VIA) Strengths Survey to discover their personal list of unique strengths, and we will learn how to apply and leverage those strengths to increase confidence, happiness, positive relationships and reduce stress and anxiety!
Kim Foster is a Happiness Coach who has been leading workshops and retreats for 11 years. She loves sharing tools from Positive Psychology and the Science of Happiness that can help people make small changes that have a BIG impact on their happiness!
