Fall into Community

By October 14, 2025October 18th, 2025Connections, Highlands Council

As the leaves turn, our team is gearing up for fourth quarter events. This month, we officially kicked off the Are You Ready? Workshop Series. Join us each month to strengthen your personal readiness and build community resilience together.

On Oct. 22, we’re excited to host a Candidate Forum for the two candidates running for Issaquah mayor—both proud Issaquah Highlands residents. Hear their positions on community issues and gain insight ahead of the election.

And don’t miss Treats & Tails on Oct. 25. Our teen-led Halloween celebration is perfect for kids, families and even pets. Come show off your costumes and enjoy some fa-boo-lous fun!

November brings festive cheer to Issaquah Highlands with the Village Market: Holiday Pop-Up, Community Tree Lighting and New Neighbor Social.

The Highlands Youth (HY) Advisory Board is already planning Parent’s Night Out for Dec. 12. This year’s theme? Let’s just say you will want to “run, run, as fast as you can” to sign your kiddos up for this fun night out!

This October through December, the Blakely Hall Gallery will showcase an incredible lineup of local artists. Visit during regular business hours to enjoy the art or join us for gallery receptions to mingle with neighbors and meet the artists. Receptions are free and include refreshment, thanks to the support of the Issaquah Arts Commission! Learn more on pages 54-56.

However you choose to engage this fall, we wish you a season filled with pumpkin spice and everything nice!

Highlands Council Welcomes New Trustees

We are excited to welcome three new trustees to the Highlands Council Board. This nine-member advisory board represents a diverse range of stakeholders—including homeowners, commercial property representatives, multi-family housing management, and the greater Issaquah community.

The newest trustees, elected during the June and August meetings, bring a wealth of experience, insight and dedication to our shared mission.

CHRIS REICHLEY — Commercial Representative

Chris Reichley balances two roles in Issaquah Highlands—Harborstone Credit Union branch manager in Grand Ridge Plaza and Dahlia Park homeowner. This dual perspective gives him the unique perspective to balance the differing needs of stakeholder businesses and residents. With his background in finance and banking, Chris immediately stepped into the role of board treasurer, succeeding Phil Nored, who concluded his six-year term in June.

LYNDA TAMMONE — Homeowner Representative

A resident of Issaquah Highlands for seven years, Lynda Tammone has consistently demonstrated her commitment to our community. She has served on the IHCA Board of Directors and the IHCA Playground Improvement Committee, and she continues to be an active volunteer on Highlands Council’s Equity Committee, Community Safety Committee and Resilience Hub Task Force. Lynda’s passions for inclusion, equity and emergency preparedness align nicely with Highlands Council’s values and priorities.

MARY ANNE DILLON — Multi-Family Housing Representative

Mary Anne Dillon brings decades of leadership and advocacy to Highlands Council. Currently vice president of permanent housing at YWCA, she has held multiple leadership positions since joining the organization in 1997. Her extensive experience working with local governments and nonprofits brings a valuable perspective to the board. Mary Anne currently serves on the Human Services Commission in Lynnwood and is board president of the Housing Consortium of Everett and Snohomish County.
