As infrastructure, landscapes, parks and homes continue to mature in Issaquah Highlands, we are also welcoming in new developments. Preserving the beauty and value of our neighborhood is a shared eff ort between residents and the Issaquah Highlands Community Association (IHCA).
The IHCA remains dedicated to the stewardship of community assets, ensuring timely maintenance and replacements when necessary. In the second half of last year, Kirk Park received playground upgrades, and the Ashland Park playground reopened with new toddler-friendly equipment. Upgrades to Firehouse Park and the tot lot at Vista Park are next on the list. Meanwhile, the IHCA Playground Improvement Committee (PIC) is actively working with a landscape architecture firm to design the Ashland Park Plaza. Stay tuned for details!
Equally important is our collective role in upholding the standards that keep our neighborhood thriving.
Cheers to Our Team
This year has brought some changes to the IHCA team. We said goodbye to Blair Krieg, our community manager, and three valued landscaping crew members—Spencer, Brennan and Fidel. We thank them all for their contributions and wish them the very best on their next adventures.
We’re happy to share that Jordan Rouso has returned to the IHCA as our facilities administrative coordinator. In this role, she will support our landscaping and maintenance operations while bringing together the administrative, customer service and project-planning pieces that keep everything running smoothly.

From left to right: Lyle, Barbara, Julio, Sarah and Pedro celebrate big milestones with the IHCA this year.
We’re also proud to recognize the incredible dedication of our long-time staff members:
- Barbara — 16 years with IHCA, 18 years with community
- Julio — 15 years
- Lyle — 17 years with IHCA, 20 years onsite
- Pedro — 10 years
- Sarah — 10 years
These milestones are a testament to the hard work and commitment our team brings to the community every day.
Thank you to all our staff —past and present—for helping make Issaquah Highlands such a special place.
The IHCA Board of Directors meets on the fourth Monday of every month, except for several dates moved forward due to holidays. All meetings start at 5:30 p.m. Check the online calendar for Zoom links, date changes and additional details.
