Issaquah High School Partnering with University of Washington

Issaquah High School is partnering with the University of Washington’s interACTlab to study the impact of school-wide phone restrictions.  This study, approved by the UW Human Subjects Division, is an important opportunity to better understand how these changes are shaping the experiences of students, parents and staff. Throughout the school year, participants will be asked to share their thoughts and perceptions through online questionnaires. Find more details here.

Superintendent Tow-Yick Shares December Update

In her December community update video, ISD Superintendent Heather Tow-Yick shares her gratitude for community members and staff after the windstorm. Tow-Yick also thanks voters for participating in the Nov. 5 School Modernization and Construction Bond election, requests community feedback and talks about potential next steps. ​​​​​​​

District Asks for Bond Input from Guardians, Staff, Community

Issaquah School District (ISD) would like your feedback about the Nov. 5 School Modernization and Construction Bond measure. District leaders are running a virtual conversation called a ThoughtExchange about the bond; and ISD school board members are hosting two listening sessions about the bond. So far, 67 % of those who have participated in the ThoughtExchange are students.

Community Listening Sessions About Bond Dec. 9

The ISD school board will host two listening sessions to gather input from students, staff, families and community members about the 2024 School Modernization and Construction Bond and what’s next. Join the board on Dec. 9 from 5-6:45 p.m. at Pine Lake Middle School or from 7:30-8:45 p.m. at Cougar Mountain Middle School.

Sock It to Me Sock, Gloves, Scarves and Hats Drive

Let’s support KidsVantage (formerly Eastside Baby Corner) by donating new socks, gloves, scarves and hats. By donating, we can help keep Eastside kids warm this winter! You can drop off your donations at Grand Ridge Elementary from Dec. 9-13.

IHS Stuff-the-Bus Food Drive

ASB is hosting a Stuff-the-Bus Food Drive from Dec. 10-19.  The bus will be parked in the courtyard, and the goal is to fill it up with donations. Given the storm’s impact on the community, IHS has partnered with the Issaquah Food and Clothing Bank to help support those hit hard by the bomb cyclone.
