Summer Learning Supports for Families

Are you looking for summer resources? The Summer Resources page of the ISD website shares ideas for supporting student learning while they are away from school this summer. The ISD-supported digital resources can be accessed through student Clever accounts. Kindergarten through fifth grade students will have access to Clever until August 2, 2024. The webpage also includes links to additional family supports in the community.

Clever To Discontinue Parent Portal

Clever is discontinuing “Clever Parents” by July 1, 2024. ISD uses Clever as an online platform for elementary students to access other education technology tools, for math, music and other subjects. Clever built its parent portal in 2020 to support districts that transitioned to remote learning because of the COVID-19 pandemic. “Clever Parents” helped teachers and families communicate and navigate remote learning. As education technology systems have changed over the years, the leaders at Clever say they can best serve districts by devoting time and resources to high-priority K-12 cybersecurity and interoperability.

MySchoolBucks Fee Increase for 2024-25

Families may use the MySchoolBucks.com website to deposit funds to student meal accounts using a debit or credit card. Beginning in the 2024-25 school year, MySchoolBucks will increase its processing fee for each transaction to $3.25 (the current fee is $2.75 per transaction). ISD does not receive any of these funds. MySchoolBucks is optional and cash or checks may also be used for meal payments to avoid processing fees. Families can utilize the MySchoolBucks website to track meal account balances or set-up the “auto-pay” feature for a specified dollar value.
