Suicide Prevention Resources for Families, Students, Community
Hospital data has identified a recent spike in nonfatal suicide attempts among younger teens in King County, officials say. ISD is sharing resources provided by Public Health – Seattle & King County, in collaboration with the Puget Sound Educational Service District, to ensure students and families have the resources they need now and during the transition to spring and summer break. You can access services on the district’s Care Solace webpage or by calling 888-515-0595 at any time. More information is available here.
Earn College, High School Credits in Dual Credit Programs
High school students can earn high school and college credit at the same time with dual credit programs. Students who earn college credit are more likely to graduate high school, enroll in college, and complete college degrees. Not all dual credit programs are available at all high schools. Talk to your school counselor for more information. Visit the WSAC website for more resources to plan your future college or career pathway.
