Issaquah Voters: 2017 is a special voting year. There are real choices at every level. Five seats on the City Council are up for election, two of them with contested races. Our County Council Representative is running against a challenger, the first time in several years. And the Mayor’s race has three candidates and no incumbent, making the seat virtually wide open.
Issaquah Highlands Council takes seriously its charge to support life-long learning and to foster an informed community. For that, we have scheduled a series of Candidate Forums at Blakely Hall in Issaquah Highlands. All of Issaquah is welcome and encouraged to join us.
The Mayor’s race has three candidates. A primary election will pick the top two. Ballots will be mailed out on July 12th, due back to King County Elections by August 1st.
We start our series with the Mayor’s Primary, bringing all three candidates to Blakely Hall on Wednesday, July 19th to answer your questions. Issaquah residents my submit their questions here >> . Watch http://www.IssaquahHighlands.com, Facebook and the Community E-Letter for updates. The forum will be moderated by one of the Highlands’ upstanding citizens, chosen for the proven ability to be unbiased and interested in your questions.
We hope to see you all there!
