Community-Owned Fiber to the Home
Purpose
Highlands Fiber Network (HFN) manages the Issaquah Highlands fiber-optic network, a 100% community-owned fiber network. HFN is a state-of-the-art fiber network providing data, voice, and other advanced communications services to the community. The HFN Board of Directors and GigabitNow (HFN’s operator and internet service provider) work together to shape the network and find the best ways to meet the communication needs of the Issaquah Highlands community.

Structure
HFN is governed by a volunteer board of directors, made up of homeowners, GigabitNow representatives, and the HFN general manager.
HFN payments are not part of your homeowner’s association dues or other community payments. There is a $250 connection fee required at closing and a minimum required monthly Periodic Fee is billed monthly after closing. Plan upgrades and other services are available at an additional cost.
Issaquah Highlands homes and buildings that are part of the Covenant for Community are required to take a minimum level of HFN service. Non-covenant homes can subscribe to HFN services; however, they must join the Covenant for Community to receive gigabit service.
