Village Green Park has been experiencing some significant irrigation issues despite IHCA’s best efforts the past two summers.
We have made the choice to abandon the existing grey water irrigation system for this park and place it on the city metered water system to the main line. On Monday, July 17, work began to trench and place a new line across the park and tap into the metered water.
Over the next few months, we will be heavily watering the grass area in the park in an effort to get some of the grass to bounce back and then it will be reseeded in the winter. Village Green Park may be closed periodically to the public in the coming months in an effort to revitalize this area.
When the park is closed, signage will be placed and owners will be alerted as we can. Please observe the signage and stay out of the area during posted times. We will keep park closures to a minimum during the summer months.
