Community Fund
Highlands Council Board of Trustees
Highlands Council is a 501(c)4 nonprofit organization governed by a self-perpetuating board of trustees whose members represent homeowners and rental and commercial properties in Issaquah Highlands. Meetings occur every other month.
Communications Committee
The Communications Committee primarily provides guidance and direction on the development and implementation of communications strategies, including (but not limited to) Connections, the Weekly E-News, social media, the blog and official website at issaquahhighlands.com, and all marketing materials/methods. If you are passionate about helping to get information to the community, this may be the committee for you! The committee meets every other month on a Monday evening.
Community Safety Committee
The Community Safety Committee is responsible for identifying and prioritizing areas of concern, then communicating and developing education with regards to community safety, including crime prevention, traffic concerns and emergency preparation. If you’re interested in helping to make this community safer for everyone, this may be the committee for you! The committee meets every other month on a Thursday afternoon.
Equity Committee
The Equity Committee advises and/or participates in the development, maintenance and evaluation of strategies for creating a welcoming, inclusive and equitable community. We are especially looking for residents who represent marginalized or underrepresented groups within our community. If you are passionate about making Issaquah Highlands a welcoming place for all, this may be the committee for you! The committee meets every other month on a Wednesday afternoon.
Highlands Council Finance Committee
The Finance Committee primarily works with Highlands Council staff in developing the annual organizational budget. This committee also reviews and analyzes past budgets and projections for planning purposes, continually analyzes cash flow, reviews tax returns and audits, and provides guidance and recommendations on potential large expenditures. If you enjoy research and digging into the numbers, this may be the committee for you! This committee connects monthly, often over email.
Program Committee
The Program Committee is responsible for advising and/or participating in the developing, maintaining and evaluating of community programs and events. If you love bringing people together through events, this may be the committee for you! Prior event planning experience is not required. The committee meets e very other month on a Monday morning.
Issaquah Highlands Community Association (IHCA) Board of Directors
The IHCA is a nonprofit corporation governed by city, county, state and federal laws. A volunteer board of directors governs IHCA affairs, each member with one equal vote. Board directors are Issaquah Highlands homeowners, with representation from each board district. (Find your board district.) Homeowners elect the directors in staggered elections. The board hires the IHCA executive director. Meetings occur monthly.
Architectural Review Committee (ARC)
The IHCA ARC has the responsibility to review and amend the ARC guidelines annually to meet the needs of the evolving Issaquah Highlands community. Amendments are subject to the approval of the IHCA Board of Directors. The committee reviews and approves/rejects ARC homeowner applications on a monthly basis. The ARC submits monthly reports to the IHCA Board of Directors. Please view the ARC Charter here.

Note: The Custom ARC reviews all custom home construction for Harrison Street and Grand Ridge Drive lots only. The IHCA contracts with third-party architects, landscape architects and builders to assist with the complexities of the custom build process. For questions about the Custom ARC, contact the IHCA.
Covenants Committee
The IHCA Covenants Committee is the liaison between residents and the IHCA Board of Directors. The Covenants Committee advises the IHCA board of upcoming hearings as they arise. Please view the Covenant Committee Charter and Roles here.

Finance Committee
The IHCA Finance Committee develops the IHCA operating budget per Article VIII of the IHCA CC&Rs 8.1 for board approval and other fiscal projects as assigned. Read the Finance Committee Charter and Roles here.

Highlands Fiber Network (HFN) Board of Directors
A volunteer board of directors, including homeowners, GigabitNOW representatives, and the HFN general manager, governs HFN. Meetings occur monthly.

Issaquah Highlands Community Fund (IHCF) Board of Directors
A volunteer board of directors composed of residents and business leaders manages IHCF’s overall governance. Officers handle day-to-day administrative and operational functions.
