Join the Story Stroll at Village Green Park

By August 30, 2023General

In honor of Issaquah Welcoming Week, a special Story Stroll is being hosted at Village Green Park in Issaquah Highlands.

The Story Stroll—hosted by Highlands Council and Issaquah Highlands Community Association (IHCA)—features “All Are Welcome” by Alexandra Penfold and Suzanne Kaufman. The book shares a positive message about individuality, diversity and acceptance.

Start your reading journey at the front of Village Green Park and follow the story around the circle. Stop by the Free Little Art Gallery to check out some artwork or find a new book at the Little Free Library along the way.

Story Stroll takes about 15 minutes. This activity is a creative way for children and adults to enjoy reading while spending time outdoors. The stroll is self-guided and open to the public at any time.

Welcoming Week is a national event—in communities large and small, rural and urban—which celebrates the benefits of an inclusive society and its commitment to creating places that are welcoming to everyone, including immigrants, refugees and those who have been systemically excluded.
