Lindsey Pinkston Promoted to Executive Director of Highlands Council

The Issaquah Highlands Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the promotion of Lindsey Pinkston to executive director of Highlands Council, effective July 1, 2022.

Lindsey joined the Highlands Council team in 2018, after volunteering in the community for 15 years. In her time with the organization, she has brought a variety of programs and community events that promote inclusivity, education and fun to Issaquah Highlands.

Some of these programs include the award-winning Global Grub & Groove event series, bingo parties, photography contests, monthly Eco-Markets, Mimosa Mornings, Telecommute Tuesdays, Living Green Workshops and more.

In her role as executive director, Lindsey will provide strategic leadership for the organization, oversee program development and create community partnerships. She is also responsible for managing day-to-day operations consistent with the mission of Highlands Council to foster the development of a vibrant and caring community committed to service, diversity, stewardship and well-being.

“I have a passion for community building and have loved Issaquah Highlands since the first time I visited,” she said. “I’m excited to continue the important work of Highlands Council to truly make our neighborhood a place where everyone is welcome and feels a sense of belonging.”

Lindsey will continue to mentor the Highlands Youth Advisory Board, while also producing cultural, artistic, musical, educational, civic and social programs. She currently represents Issaquah Highlands as an Issaquah Economic Development Vision Partner, on the Grand Ridge Elementary Site Council, and on the Issaquah Welcoming Week committee.

She lived in Michigan and Arizona before settling down in the Timarron neighborhood of Issaquah Highlands about 20 years ago. She currently resides in the Wisteria Park neighborhood with her husband, two kids and beagle.

Outside of Highlands Council, she serves as director of fundraising for Pacific Cascade Middle School’s PTSA and co-director of communications for Issaquah High School’s PTSA. She is an active volunteer with Girl Scouts of Western Washington and the local service unit. In her free time, she likes to read, hike our beautiful trails and drink tea with friends.

Lindsey is always happy to hear from members of the community! She can be reached at lindsey.p@ihcouncil.org or (425) 507-1109.
