October Volunteer of the Month: Krista Owen

By October 14, 2022November 14th, 2022General, IHCA, Volunteer

Ashland Park resident Krista Owen is working hard to ensure our community is safe from crime. As someone who experienced a situation reflective of the uptick in local crime, she wants to instill a greater sense of security in our neighborhoods.

Despite staffing shortages at Issaquah Police Department (IPD), she is taking steps to eradicate crime by bringing neighbors together through a Block Watch program. Through this program, she aims to address drug awareness, personal safety, first aid, street construction and repair, city planning, fire prevention, disaster preparedness and more.

To participate, contact Krista at 425-891-1545 or kristalynowen@gmail.com. Join the Facebook group, where much of the communication will take place as the Block Watch program is launched.

Krista is also a real estate broker with eXp Realty, providing families and individuals with their next home in the Seattle area.

Thank you for keeping our community safe, Krista!
